Message from Moose Charities Executive Director Jan Fregulia
Subject: Calendars and Tribute Envelopes Good Afternoon- There was a large 'over-run' of calendars. A decision was made to have them available at the Midyear Conferences. Therefore, we will be sending boxes of calendars to each Association Secretary and ask that a calendar be given to each member in attendance (men and women) at the Midyear Conference - the Moose Charities Chairmen can announce over the microphone that donations would be sincerely appreciated. Donations should be earmarked '2010 Calendar'. If members give - great - if they do not, so be it. This would be no different than when we sent mailed the calendars and it was up to the individuals if they wanted to make a donation. Regardless of the dates of your MYC, this is a marketing tool and good-will opportunity as well as an opportunity to secure more donations. Next - we need to communicate to all members that donations made 'in memory of' a departed friend or relative can be made to Moose Charities in behalf of our Mooseheart kids and Moosehaven seniors. Every Lodge should have gift envelopes available to their membership for this purpose. To enable the Lodges to have them, we are also sending our 'Tribute' (gift) envelopes and request that they be distributed (approximately 15 to 20) to each Lodge. The Tribute envelopes are for donations 'In Memory Of' and 'In Honor Of'. Attached is a flyer regarding the Tribute gifts. Please forward it to all Fraternal Units with the request that they include it in each of their newsletters and post on their websites. We would sincerely appreciate it being posted in the Association newsletters and on the Association websites as well.
