Brothers
and Co-Workers:
It’s
hard to believe that six weeks have passed since we all were in Binghamton for
our 93rd Annual State convention.
At
this time I would like to thank Binghamton Moose Lodge 1013 for their
hospitality over the weekend. I am sure we can all agree to that. Along with
that, my personal thanks go out to the officers and members that made it all
possible.
Now
let’s get down to business: Our Membership reports are looking better but that
is not the answer. We must, as an Association, make our members, both new and
old want to come to our lodge homes. You say fine but how can we do this: simple
by having activities in our lodges. There are a host of different programs that
can be scheduled (example) October is Founders Day Month; November is Star
Recorder and Fellowship Degree Honor Month etc. Those Lodges, Chapters and Moose
Legions that are interested please do not hesitate to contact me for more
information.
The
next order of business is the “GIMME FIVE” program: It needs some type of
stimulation by the Lodge Chairman and District Chairman.
Recognition.
Yes my Brothers, this is something we should do more of and we do not. We are
given tools and yet the reports show it. Last year out of 78 Moose Lodges only
59 submitted Moose of the Year applications. My brothers, why can’t this
number be 78 out of 78? The next is the Moose Legion, in our Association out of
the 8 Moose Legions only 3 submitted Moose Legionnaire of the Year
Applications., this I find very disturbing. My Brothers, there is no reason for
this and what it tells me is someone is not doing their job!!!
That’s
it, no more business instead I would like to wish all of you a
“HAPPY
THANKSGIVING” and “MAY GOD BLESS AMERICA”
Fraternally,
Rick
B, Pagnotta,
President
