Tournament Guidelines All Star Basketball
Bid Guidelines
Committee Responsibilities

Prepare and sent out entry forms and tournament rules. Mail
the first week of December and have one month prior to the tournament
deadline date.

Drawing is held at Host Lodge one (1) week prior to
tournament (committees discretion). No byes will be given after the first
round. Contact each team as to who and when they will play.

Handle all protests

Oversee Host Lodge
-
Conduct banquet (Saturday night) and award trophies (at gym
at conclusion of tournament)

Contact NYSMA Secretary for Lodge whose dues are in arrears
-
Notify Regional Managers office for mailing labels two weeks
prior to mailing date

Place entry blanks, results of tournament in the bulletin
and mail to State Sports Chairman a report of the tournament

Order trophies and plaques through designated trophy
company. Have trophies or plaques shipped to Host Lodge when appropriate.

HOST LODGE MUST HAVE ALL NYSMA DUES AND BID FEES PAID. (See
special instructions)
Host Lodge Responsibilities and Bid Requirements

Provide two (2) gyms. Four games at both gyms Friday
beginning at 6:00 pm.

Provide two (2) Officials per game. Host Lodge is
responsible for 2/3 cost of Officials, NYSMA responsible for 1/3.

Supply score and timekeepers.

Provide meals

Provide banquet Saturday evening

Provide housing information
-
Medical team on standby
-
Notify Regional Managers office for mailing labels two weeks
prior to mailing date

Place results of tournament in bulletin and website with
pictures if available and mail to State Sports Chairman a report of
tournament
RULE CHANGE: EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 11, 1987. "ANY BOY BECOMING
13 ON OR AFTER SEPTEMBER 1, 1999 IS ELIGIBLE TO PLAY"
