Tournament Guidelines Jr Golf
Bid Requirements

One 18 hole golf course
suitable for tournament play
-
Motel or adequate housing for
approximately 20 rooms
-
Access to at least 2 golf
carts for committee use
- Banquet facilities for seating approximately 125 persons

MUST HAVE ALL NYSMA DUES AND
BID FEE'S PAID.

Host Lodge Requirements
- Provide a banquet for approximately 125 persons
- Provide at least 12 volunteers (to chaperone golfers) and a Chairman for 6
hours
- Provide a starters table. PA system if available
- Provide a Golf Pro for a clinic and range balls at Lodge expense
Committee Responsibilities
- Mail out entry blanks, rules, and all necessary information
- Assign tee time and notify players of times (May be down at the course if
fewer than 24 golfers)
- Check release
forms, jr golf
rules
- Determine winners
- Oversee tournament
- Notify Regional Managers office for mailing labels 2 weeks prior to
mailing date
- Contact NYSMA Secretary to determine if participating Lodges have paid
their Association dues
- Place results of tournament in the bulletin and website and mail State
Sports Chairman a report of the tournament
- Order medals through designated company and present at banquet
