For tournaments without specific guidelines. Remember that this can be a big fundraiser for your Lodge and also cast a great image of your Lodge if properly prepared. Work closely with your committee.

 

Host Lodge responsibilities

 

  1. Provide any necessary fields, halls, tables, arenas, and or provisions needed for tournament and banquets.

  2. Prior to start of tournament Host Lodge should look into any problems that could possibly arise (beverages, food, regulations, zoning, fields, halls, etc)

  3. Advertising and information available

  4. Provide information on housing that may be needed and maps.

  5. Provide a competent scorekeepers, referees, umpires, chaperones, and any volunteer personnel needed for the tournament and medical team if necessary

  6. Provide adequate space (tables, chairs, and supplies) for committee for registration, checking dues, sign ups and for tournament

  7. Host Lodge Chairman to work with committee

  8. Provide meals and entertainment at Lodge if necessary

  9. Provide a Committee to send out requests for ad for the booklet and arrange for printing (optional)

  10. Maintain and operate souvenir stand (optional)

  11. Must have all NYSMA dues and fees paid (See special rules)
